Love Poem to a
Chinese Tallow Tree |
Tonight the moon is rising up the back of my spine.
I go without a shirt on to the Chinese tallow tree
in the side yard.
I want to bend her down in my arms and ride her
like I did when I was a boy.
But she is above me now
her branches full of yellow pollen. |
